Oh mate, the steaks were an absolute banger, best I've had in ages! The breakfast lady Vicky was a star, making our little one giggle. Plus, the restaurant's got some cracking views that really set the scene for a fab meal.

My room had a right mess – blood-stained pillow and mouldy velux windows. The shower pressure was more like a drip, and don’t get me started on the flimsy sink tap and freezing bathroom radiator. Not grand for a posh stay.

The views around were stunning, overlooking the lake which was breath taking and the staff were generally pleasant, specially this woman at breakfast who offered us more than what was in the menu, just made everything feel more personal for us.

The golf course at this place is quite challenging yet incredibly fun. both my hubby and I really enjoyed our time there. the sanitiser points throughout the hotel made us feel safe during our stay.
